TBS Broadcasting Center – the Big Hat
The TBS Broadcasting Center is our headquarters in the heart of Tokyo’s Akasaka district. Atop this building is a huge parabolic antenna deck measuring 36 meters in diameter. When viewed from below, this deck resembles a hat, so the center is affectionately called the “Big Hat.”
The broadcasting center houses 10 TV studios and 8 radio studios. About 6,000 people work at the Big Hat, which operates around the clock to deliver programs across Japan.
